Hungary, fun and funny

Hungary is a funny place. Hello means goodbye, ruins become bars, cowboys wear skirts, and ketchup is for pizza. It’s also a fun place, where thermal springs bubble into baths, ruby-red wine flows freely, and the festivals never stop. Hungarians, meanwhile, the inventors of the ballpoint pen, Vitamin C, the Rubik’s cube and that bizarre language they named after themselves, may seem shy but once you befriend them, it’s for life.

So whether you’ve been here a short time or forever, you probably still have questions about this enigmatic place. Well, adriknows, and if I don’t, I’ll  find out for you. Enjoy.

About adriknows

One day, people looking for tips on life in Budapest started coming to me. Friends, then friends of friends, and so on. People were telling newcomers and longtime Budapesters alike, “Adri knows!” Now it’s time to share what I’ve picked up over more than a decade of fun-and-frequently-frazzled family life in the big BP.
